Technician cleaning a heating oil tank in an apartment building basement
Service SV·03

OIL TANK CLEANING done thoroughly, down to the last residue.

Over the years, sludge, water and residue settle at the bottom of every tank. We remove all of it, check the tank for leaks and hand back a clean tank, so nothing dirty ever reaches your nozzle and burner.

What it covers

A CLEAN TANK clean combustion, heating you can forget about.

The tank is the most neglected part of a heating system, simply because you never see it. Over time, though, sludge, rust, condensation water and fuel residue build up inside, and all of it ends up in the filter and the nozzle.

You know how that plays out: blocked filters, a burner that cuts out, technician call-outs in the middle of winter and fuel burnt for nothing. Periodic tank cleaning solves the problem at the source.

We drain and pump out the remaining fuel, remove sludge, water and solid residue, clean the internal walls and inspect the tank for corrosion and signs of leakage. The clean fuel goes back into the tank after filtering.

We handle steel and plastic tanks, underground and above ground, in homes, apartment buildings and commercial premises. The residue is taken away and disposed of responsibly, with nothing left behind on your property.

Why us

WHY IT PAYS OFF to have your tank cleaned.

A job done once every few years that saves you breakdowns, call-outs and wasted fuel for seasons on end.

01

Burner protection

With no sludge or water in the tank, the nozzle and filter stay clear and the burner runs steadily.

02

Fewer winter breakdowns

Most sudden heating failures start with dirty fuel. Cleaning the tank heads them off.

03

Better combustion quality

Clean fuel means proper combustion, a steady temperature and fewer deposits in the boiler.

04

Leak detection

While cleaning we spot corrosion and potential leaks before they turn into real damage.

05

A tidy site

We work carefully, protect the area first and take every trace of residue away with us.

06

Responsible disposal

The waste from the job is handled through the proper channels, with no burden on the environment.

The process

THE JOB from pump-out to handover.

Four steps, in a clear order, with no surprises at the end.

01

Site survey

We check the type, size and accessibility of the tank and give you a clear price.

02

Fuel pump-out

The remaining oil is pumped out and stored safely so it can be returned clean.

03

Cleaning

Sludge, water and residue are removed and the internal walls of the tank are cleaned.

04

Check and handover

The tank is checked for integrity, the filtered fuel goes back in and the system is handed back ready to run.

Frequently asked questions

ANSWERS to what you ask us most.

How often does a tank need cleaning?

Roughly every three to five years, depending on the age of the tank, the quality of the fuel and whether moisture is present. If your filter keeps blocking, cleaning is already overdue.

Does the tank have to be completely empty?

Not necessarily. We pump out the remaining fuel, store it and return it filtered after cleaning, so none of it goes to waste.

Do you also clean underground tanks?

Yes. We handle underground and above ground tanks, steel and plastic, provided there is safe access for the work.

How long does cleaning take?

In most domestic tanks the job is completed within the same day. Large or heavily fouled tanks can take longer.

What happens to the residue?

We take it away and dispose of it responsibly, through the proper channels. Nothing is left behind on your property.

Will the boiler room get dirty?

We protect the area before we start and clean up at the end. The boiler room is handed back as we found it, with the tank clean.
